Got our third fur baby from buddies and I've got to say they really love the animals they ferry all across the US back to Buffalo NY! Our lil girl took a lot of convincing to become a true member of the family but, she truly knows she's loved and cared for thanks to buddies!
The approval process is straightforward and the volunteers are super helpful. The vaccinations, spayed/ Neutered, and some training is included. Everything they do is to places these wonderful animals is a good forever home. I can't wait to get my new puppy home.
This experience was so horrible and terrible. I don’t know where to start. Yes it was that bad. I had a wonderful German shepherd all picked out. I planned to get the dog on the 13th but I had complications with surgery. They refused to hold the dog for me for two weeks, even if I were to give them $380 which was the cost of the dog. Then I would owe them $250 for transport fees when I received the dog. When I told them I had complications because of surgery they blew a gasket they got very mad, Crystal or Colleen would not return any of my phone calls or any of my texts or I should say very few. Colleen would not respond to a phone call so I could tell her I needed more time to recover from surgery a lousy two weeks Colleen every time she said she would call me she never did, and then she used the excuse she’s a volunteer. Well if you’re gonna volunteer do it right or don’t do it at all you still have a commitment to the people that are trying to adopt a dog if you’re the dogs foster parent and I’m trying to get a dog that you are fostering. You still have a commitment to me to take my phone calls once in a while and text me not just say I don’t have time. All this place is concerned about his money. They are big big company that makes lots of money on dogs. Yes they do do lots of good but they need better people in upper management these two women clearly do not understand how to talk to people in a civil way. I did not talk to Crystal once on the phone that’s a joke and utter and appalling joke. And I guess I learned my lesson I lost $15 spending on filling out the adoption form right then and there it should’ve let me know all they were doing and interested in is recovering their money and I’m sorry if you couldn’t understand that I needed an extra three weeks to recover from surgery then there’s something wrong with your whole organization from the bottom to the top. I would’ve had a lot more respect for you if you would’ve said, I’m sorry we have a lot of people interested in this dog. We cannot hold her for two weeks and I would’ve said fine. Keep my application on file when I am healed I will apply for another dog, but you couldn’t even do that. You couldn’t even text me or pick up the phone and tell me that. I can’t even begin to say how horrible this experience was I’m not good with words, so this whole review does not convey how terrible this experience was and Colleen like I said, all she does is say all I do is volunteer all I do is volunteer well like I said as a volunteer if I’m trying to get a dog that you are fostering, you owe it to me and furthermore you owe it to the dog more than me to take my phone calls and communicate with me not just ignore me, but then what should I expect from a hungry company that uses dogs to make money may God bless you and I hope you two learn better ways and learn how to treat customers I hope you don’t treat the dogs like you treated me
Great rescue. Volunteers really cared about matching me with the right dog, and the foster mom was very supportive during the early days. Just love our Buddy's baby!
I just love Buddies , a friend of mine told me about Buddies , she adopted Elli from here.I adopted Onyx Iris , she is the best thing that ever happened to me , I lost my 3 boys within 2 yrs.2 cats and a dog..The dog was my dads who couldn’t take care of him anymore after he went to in home hospice. My heart just broke when both passed.I had so much love left from my boys , now Onyx Iris has it .Thank you so much Buddies
Emma Lou is the best choice decision we have made in a long time she has added so much love and joy to our family and we are so grateful for buddy's rescue to helping us become a family again.
I have adopted two dogs from Buddy's! Both so sweet and healthy!
Buddy’s is an amazing rescue! I have fostered and volunteered for more than 2 years and it has been such a rewarding experience.
The rescue supplies everything you need when you foster a dog. You do not have to pay for anything and if you buy something, you’re reimbursed.
We rely on community and business donations so we can save as many dogs as possible. Some dogs have cost thousands of dollars from vet visits and medical procedures, which is why continuous fundraising is so necessary.
I’m so fortunate to be part of such an amazing rescue team and highly recommend applying to be part of Buddy’s!
I’ve fostered for over two years and adopted my boys through Buddy’s Second Chance Rescue. They’re a wonderful organization to work with that is all about the health and safety of animals. As a foster, I have had consistent great communication experiences with both the owner and all the volunteers. I’m provided with all the essentials I need such as food and supplies, and also have a coordinator who is absolutely amazing about helping me with any questions or concerns I’ve had. I’m honored to be able to help dogs and be apart of a great community in doing so. Over the last two years I’ve learned so much and am incredibly grateful for that.
Very professional, organized group of volunteers. You can trust that when you adopt from Buddy’s you will have a honest knowledge of the dogs personality and behavior. Unfortunately not all dogs are a good fit in every home so they go the …
